Valoryz cultivates traditional rice varieties on the Hungarian Great Plain in the heart of the Carpathian basin. The rivers Körös and Tisza and their tributaries yield a permanent and abundant water supply for the rice fields located over rich, water-tight soil. This sunny and flat plain provides the perfect environment for growing premium quality rice. The company’s environmentally conscious approach sees them using all parts of the plant, from the seed through the skin to the stem. While nature benefits too, as the swampy paddies provide the perfect habitat for water birds and protected species, including the little egret and the heron, enhancing biodiversity and promoting conservation efforts.
