Meet the Winemaker
Sebestyén Winery, Szekszárd - Protected Designation of Origin (PDO)
The Sebestyén Winery's story started twenty-five years ago and is now a two-generation artisan family winery. Meticulous attention is paid to even the smallest detail in the vineyards, as these are directly reflected in every drop of the resulting wines. The aim is to harvest only the highest quality grapes, achieved by rigorous volume controls and hand-harvesting, so only the healthiest bunches are selected and picked for vinification. Believing that Bikavér wines are the single best expression of the Szekszárd wine region, great significance is attached to the individuality and character of local varieties which form the backbone of the famed Bull's Blood unique to Hungary. It showcases the best of the wine region and brings an authentic taste of Szekszárd to Wales and beyond.
