Indulge in premium Siberian sturgeon caviar from sustainably farmed fish. Enjoy the silky-smooth, irresistibly nutty taste of creamy Malossol roe.
What is it?
Our classic black caviar comes from the Siberian sturgeon (Acipenser baerii) and features medium-sized grains (2.8-3.0 mm) with a shiny roe surface.
It is prepared in a Malossol fashion, using just the right amount of sea salt to preserve the flawless structure of the delicate fish eggs.
This premium-quality product is loved by chefs and connoisseurs alike for its outstanding flavour.
Sturgeon caviar is the ultimate choice for those seeking a gourmet experience with a clear conscience.
- Its elegant flavour offers a more refined experience compared to lower-priced alternatives, such as salmon.
- While beluga caviar is recognised for its large grain size, the beluga sturgeon is critically endangered and at risk of extinction.
- Our caviar comes from sustainably farmed sturgeon, striking an ideal balance between fine dining and environmental responsibility.
How should I serve it?
- Caviar is traditionally served on blinis accompanied by a layer of crème fraîche.
- Alternatively, you can place it on top of smoked salmon slices with a couple of capers. Cooked quail eggs and scallops are also popular accompaniments.
- We recommend serving it with a mother of pearl spoon to prevent metal cutlery from interfering with its pure taste.
- For an authentic drink pairing, enjoy it with a shot of vodka or a glass of Champagne.

Danubius Caviar was launched by a Hungarian fishing cooperative that began repopulating the Danube River with sturgeon and sterlet in the 1990s, both indigenous to the river. Their expansion into caviar production is based on over 65 years of tradition and expertise. They employ the latest environmentally friendly technologies to ethically produce premium-quality caviar.
The fish are kept in large outdoor pools filled with fresh spring water, which is heated and cooled using green energy. Due to our close relationship, we receive an annual allocation of their finest produce.
Shipment & Storage
We take great care to ensure that your caviar arrives in perfect condition. After you place your order, we will contact you to agree on a delivery date. We will freshly pack your caviar between ice sheets and ship it overnight in a chilled box.
Because caviar is a delicate product, improper handling and storage can compromise its quality. We recommend keeping it in the coldest part of your refrigerator, at a temperature just above 0°C but not below.
Unopened, it will last up to 3 weeks when refrigerated. Once opened, consume it within 48 hours for the best experience. Be sure to place the lid back on between servings to minimise exposure to air.
