Kékfrankos is one of Hungary's principal red grape varieties, and this vineyard selection from hand-picked berries is a dynamic powerhouse of a wine.
Deep ruby colour and spicy nose with floral aromas. Savoury palate with searing acidity and a tight tannic structure. Red and black fruits on the palate, especially blackcurrant, are accompanied by fragrant, floral notes of violets and lavender. A rich and powerful vintage with plenty of ageing potential.

STEIGLER Soproni Kékfrankos 2019
Kékfrankos feels especially at home in the cool-climate Sopron region, and Soproni Kékfrankos is now widely regarded as a premium quality red wine with plenty of potential.
This is a rich and meaty medium-bodied red wine that combines grapes harvested from the Steiner and Steiger vineyards. It is classic deep ruby with purple shades. A cavalcade of red and black fruit on the palate, rounded out by elegant spicy notes from the oak barrel ageing. Zesty acidity and medium tannins make this a complex yet easy-drinking vintage.

WASSMANN Bio-Dynamic Organic Villányi Kékfrankos 2017
A perfectly balanced Kékfrankos from hand-picked, organically and byo-dynamically cultivated grapes. Deep ruby-purple colour. Smoky, earthy nose with an aroma of cherries and dark berries in the background and a hint of black pepper. The wine was made in an elegant, cool-climate style, resulting in high acidity but a soft and velvety mouthfeel. The palate is dominated by sour cherries, mushrooms, and cedarwood.
