Krumplis tészta is a popular Hungarian potato pasta recipe. This easy and affordable dish is perfect for quickly making a filling and comforting meal. Serve it with pickled cucumbers for an authentic experience.

500g potato

500g pasta

1 brown onion

2 tbsp oil

1 tsp sweet paprika

Directions
Finely dice the onion, then fry in a large pan on vegetable oil. Once translucent, remove from the heat and sprinkle with paprika powder.
Peel and cube the potatoes into small pieces. Add them to the fried onions, season with salt and pepper, and pour in about a quarter of a cup of water. Cover the pan and let it simmer on low heat (stirring occasionally) until the potatoes soften.
Cook the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions and drain. When the potatoes are soft, crush them a little and mix them with the cooked pasta. Add salt and pepper to taste, and serve with pickled cucumbers.
